About Chikkanna Thimmaiah

Mr. Chikkanna Thimmaiah holds a under graduate diploma in Civil Engineering from SJ Polytechnic (2009) and a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering from BMS college of engineering, Bangalore (2012). He is Currently working as Lead Engineer - Laboratory at Sarathy Geotech and Engineering Services Pvt.Ltd.(SGES). In his current role he is actively involved in leading the geotechnical laboratory team. He has Successfully handled several projects in India and abroad, the nature of work belongs to onshore and offshore QA/QC, field characterization, basic and advanced laboratory testing on soil, Geosynthetics, and rock materials. Liquefaction potential assessment using cyclic triaxial and shear strength parameters of soils for different drainage conditions in isotropic approach and ground improvement of distressed foundations using micro piling etc. Active life member ships (Professional organizations)-Indian Geotechnical society (IGS)-Indian Society for earthquake technology (ISET). Research interests are : Soil and Rock characterisation,Dynamic properties of soil, ground improvements and Advanced triaxial testing on soils(Anisotropically consolidated triaxials tests, Resonant column and bender element).
