Background

About Chinmay Sharma

With nearly a decade of experience in UX, I specialize in crafting inclusive, research-driven, and accessible digital experiences—particularly in the healthcare and ed-tech sectors. As the Lead UX Designer at Laerdal Bangalore LLP, I have led end-to-end design initiatives for mission-critical medical software, from user research and journey mapping to prototyping, testing, and the creation of scalable design systems. My approach is rooted in design research, accessibility (WCAG 2.1), and human-centered methodologies. I work closely with multidisciplinary teams to uncover user needs, translate insights into actionable solutions, and ensure our products are both impactful and inclusive. Through usability testing, contextual inquiry, and data analysis (with tools like Dovetail), I identify opportunities that drive measurable improvements in user experience. Beyond projects, I am passionate about mentorship and advocacy—supporting the growth of designers, embedding accessibility best practices across organizations, and championing design as a strategic driver of innovation. Ensuring solutions are not only functional but also compelling and meaningful.
