About Chinnu Tom

I am an aspiring educator and an enthusiastic learner who wishes to put in the best efforts to attain the desired results. Unraveling the world of knowledge to learners introducing them to the wise use of technology and helping them to focus on their goals were some of my primary objectives as an educator. Teaching children from various age groups motivated me to implement innovative teaching and learning styles with the use of various teaching aids. The pandemic was a turning point in my career as I was introduced to the world of remote learning which was something that resided only in the curriculum for teacher education until then. The online learning platforms opened up a world of possibilities for me to explore and I was able to implement teaching practices aided with software and applications suitable for the learners. Apart from teaching the roles of a mentor department coordinator and program convenor have made me a professional in the field of education who is capable of handling diverse groups of students assessing their performance based on set standards helping their parents to understand how their child performed the areas they could improve and suggestions for their betterment. A teacher is a continuous learner and this thought helped me in completing online courses on: *Ms. Excel - UDEMY *Effective Writing - NPTEL (IIT Roorkee) ....and at present pursuing Master of Education in Leadership at the University of Prince Edward Island Canada. Filling up a canvas with colors shading the sketchbook with figures doodling and making creative models from scrap fill up my spare time. The love to read books reached its peak a few years back and I find it to be a path that takes me to another realm of happiness and comfort.
