About Chioma Nwachukwu

As a designer with a passion for creating unique user experiences through storytelling, I collaborated with a multi-disciplinary team at Perkins & Will to design practical and innovative solutions for healthcare projects. I utilized computer-assisted design software, such as Revit, to effectively document design development and coordinate with designers, consultants, contractors, and vendors. I also reviewed construction administration submittals and communicated with contractors on various projects, ensuring quality and timeliness. My background in architectural design, which I obtained from a Bachelor of Architecture degree at Texas Tech University and a Master of Design degree at the University of Illinois Chicago, exposes me to various ways I can design for connections by understanding users, communicating ideas and concepts visually, and prioritizing consistency in design systems. I work at the intersection of digital and physical products, aiming to impact users through experiences. As a triple minority in the design field, I represent minorities in every space that I am in, with every opportunity that I get. I am constantly looking for ways to reinvent myself through creative outlets and aspire to invoke change and advocate for diversity within the field through design.
