About Chip Few

As a product developer, I am goal oriented and focused, aiming to deliver value-added solutions for the largest problems and biggest needs of the market. In six years in my current role, my experience as Technical Lead of one of Milliken's newest product lines has included all phases of product development, from invention and idea generation to global product launch and multi-million dollar net-new revenue. With a background in organic chemistry and polymer science, I excel at statistical modeling and design of experiments. I routinely use rheology, NMR and IR spectroscopy, fractionation, and chromatographic techniques for polymer characterization, and am using AI more and more to accelerate the innovation cycle. I work with global teams regularly, and have supported customer resin grade formulation projects on five continents. Prior to my current role, I spent four years at Braskem America, where I developed polypropylene products for various applications, including packaging and nonwovens. I recieved a Ph.D. in organic chemistry from the University of Florida, under the guidance of Dr. Ken Wagener, in the George and Josephine Butler Polymer Research Laboratory. I have an educational background in organic chemistry, polymer chemistry and fiber processing, and extensive graduate research experience in organic synthesis and characterization, and polymer synthesis and characterization.
