About Chip Walker

Chip Walker serves as Executive Director of Business Development of FS Investments. In this role, Mr. Walker works with senior team members and FS’ Regional Directors to identify new opportunities for growth and long-lasting partnerships with Advisors, Managers, and key decision makers at Wirehouse, Regional, and RIA firms. Prior to joining FS Investments, Mr. Walker served in a number of senior leadership roles at Wells Fargo Advisors and its predecessor firms. He started his career as a Financial Advisor at Wheat First Butcher Singer in Richmond, VA and was also a Regional Director for their asset management business. He led the Managed Account platform for the mutual fund wrap and separate account businesses before being charged with building and leading FA Integration, with responsibility for the prospecting, recruiting, and integration of all experienced Financial Advisors across Wells’ Private Client Group, Wealth Brokerage Services, and independent Financial Network channels. Mr. Walker also held roles as Managing Director of Best Practices and Practice Management and, most recently, Managing Director of Field Strategy and Communication. Mr. Walker is a graduate of Mary Washington College and earned his BA in Economics. He was recognized by the St. Louis Business Journal as a “40 Under 40” Award winner and served as a board member for the St. Louis Children’s Hospital Development Board, St. Louis Crisis Nursery, and Concordance Academy of Leadership. Mr. Walker lives in St. Louis with his wife and three children.
