Chirine is a results oriented leader with a track record of delivering large programs of reform in the NSW water and Australian energy sectors, including electricity and gas markets.Chirine has exceptional relationship building and stakeholder management skills with 15+ years experience in senior advisory positions across economic regulation and economic policy, including at the Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal of NSW and NSW Treasury.A forward thinker with a professional background rooted in economic policy principles, Chirine has over a decade of experience in complex market reform. Chirine has a wealth of public and private sector experience including as lead investment manager for a private equity fund specialising in access to capital for scaling and innovative NSW businesses.Chirine has a vision for exceptional leadership and is capable of bringing others on a journey of progress and improvement. As a longstanding member of the Australian Women in Economics Network and the 2023 National Secretary, Chirine is an advocate for equal opportunity and is a committed mentor to female economists. Chirine is also an industry mentor to postgraduate students at the University of Sydney Business School and School of Economics.
