About Chloe Bone

When I look back at the jobs I've had, there are a few things that stand out to me. The times that I felt the most accomplished and happy were when I had full ownership over an experience or a product - from conception, to process, to completion. When I took it upon myself to fully reorganize the tea cabinet at Peet's, when I rebuilt the stock room at Byington that hadn't been organized or cleaned in at least five years, when I created a system for my students to submit work that included a filing system for all graded work organized by individual. While in the grand scheme of each of my jobs these accomplishments is one of many, they are memories (and life lessons) that remain with me. I used to believe that my passion in life was to bring an accessible and meaningful history education to the younger generations, and while that is still important to me, as I've grown in my career as an educator that passion has grown and expanded as well. Young people have so much to offer us, and have so much ability to change our world for the better. The question of where I fit in with that outside of classroom is becoming more clear, and I am excited to take on a new job that utilizes my skills and my enthusiasm in a productive and meaningful way!
