I am currently a PhD Candidate in the Neurosciences program jointly offered by Kent State University and Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED). I am a member of Dr. Rebecca German's research lab at NEOMED, where we work to understand the neural control of swallowing in compromised infants. My work focuses on sensorimotor control, and specifically the way that oral, pharyngeal, and esophageal afferents are integrated to impact swallow function and feeding performance. I graduated with my Bachelor's of Science in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Akron in 2020.
