About Chloe Farrell

As a Naval Architect (EIT) at Seaspan, I work on the design and development of the Canadian Coast Guard's new Polar Icebreaker, a complex and challenging project that requires innovative and collaborative solutions. I am currently on an international secondment to Elomatic Oy in Finland, where I gain valuable exposure and experience in working with a leading marine engineering company. I graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering in Ocean and Naval Architectural Engineering from Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador in 2022, where I acquired strong technical and analytical skills in naval architecture, marine structures, hydrodynamics, and ship design. I also completed four internships at Seaspan and one at Fleetway Inc, where I contributed to various shipbuilding and engineering projects, such as the Offshore Fisheries Science Vessel, the Offshore Oceanographic Science Vessel, the Joint Support Ship, and the Halifax-Class Frigates. I am passionate about continuous learning and gaining technical and personal knowledge and experience from any given opportunity. Outside of work, I love to hike, travel, dance, paint, and spend as much time outdoors as possible.
