About Chloe Groth

Chloe Helene Groth, violinist, is a graduate of the Oberlin Conservatory of Music, where she earned a Master of Music in Teaching and a Bachelor of Music in Performance. At Oberlin, her primary teachers were Gregory Fulkerson and Marilyn McDonald, and she received additional coaching from Amy Thiaville at Loyola University. Chloe has studied the Suzuki Method under the guidance of Ronda Cole. While at Oberlin, she held principal positions in the Oberlin Orchestra and Oberlin Contemporary Music Ensemble, and gave recitals in New York City and Washington, DC as a member of the Isis String Quartet. Chloe is a Suzuki Violin Teacher, and maintains studios in Whitefish Bay and Menominee Falls. Previously, she has lead the Suzuki Department as Chair at the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music, and taught in both public and community music schools in Ohio and Connecticut. She has enjoyed positions teaching orchestra classes, chamber music ensembles, and private/group lessons most recently in New Haven, CT. Chloe is passionate about teaching and enjoys the challenge of working with students of all ages and ability levels. Along with teaching, Chloe enjoys freelancing with area orchestras and ensembles.
