About Chloe Guss

I am a creative business professional with a focus in sustainability and ethically produced goods and a passion for working with start ups, global artisans and local makers. I specialize in sustainability, sourcing, product development and production, on both small and large scales. I have an extensive global network of suppliers as well as a dozens of domestic supplier relationships. I completed a masters degree at Parsons in Strategic Design and Business Management in 2016. Followed by a two year entrepreneur research fellowship at Parsons, focused on textile waste recycling R&D. I have twelve years of experience that include on the ground field work in Rwanda, working for the social enterprise, Indego Africa. I spent three years in Paris working with young French fashion brands, where I worked to jumpstart their companies. I also founded and ra my own brand, Thread and Silk, a mission-based brand that repurposes vintage pieces to communicate a new vision of the way we design, produce, consume, and waste. I believe in fashion as a means of self-expression and connection with other places, people, and times, and am working to learn to transform it as a global business into a force for positive change.
