About Chloe Plester

To pre-empt your question, yes, I currently work in both digital marketing and in healthcare. A strange combination, yet a uniquely beneficial one. In my final semester at UWA studying a Bachelor of Arts majoring in both Communications and English and Literary Studies, I undertook an internship with a local digital marketing agency. What started as an internship with The Search Republic has quickly grown into a role as an Accounts Executive, where I've contributed to a book launch, developed client-facing content, and developed marketing materials. At the same time I've continued to work as a Sonographer Assistant at Perth Radiological Clinic, where I earned an Excellence Award in 2023 for Innovation and Outstanding Patient Care. By supporting people during their vulnerable moments; always exercising empathy, clarity and calm have grown to be major values in my day-to-day life. Qualities that have strengthened my communication style and professional development. Where it is easy to see two separate and opposing industries, I see two that make each other better. Whether in healthcare or marketing, it all comes down to making people feel understood, supported and informed.
