About Chloe Roper

I am an organised and motivated customer driven professional, who possesses vast experience of working in a number of public facing, regulatory and compliance roles. During my third year of University I undertook a 12 month training placement, where I worked as a Student Environmental Health Officer for a rural Local District Authority in the UK. Upon becoming a BSc Environmental Health (Hons) graduate at Cardiff Metropolitan University, I achieved a personal goal by working in Australia for a period of time. Following my time abroad, I worked as a Pollution Control Officer within a busy City Council in the UK, where I gained valuable experience of dealing with noise and smoke pollution matters and issuing enforcement action. After two years of living back in the UK, I decided to make a move over to New Zealand. I have loved living and working in New Zealand and have gained my New Zealand permanent residency since moving here. I joined the Tauranga City Council in 2017. Since working at Council I have increased my knowledge and experience regarding noise and vibration control matters further, as well as learn, regulate and enforce under New Zealand legislation and regulatory framework. My personal interests include social team sports, hiking and flying small aircraft (Cessna 152).
