About Chloe Schaefer

Hi! I am Chloe Schaefer. I graduated from University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts in Neuroscience and a minor in Chemistry on the pre-medical track. I have experience with biological research, tutoring, mentoring, and my assets include time management, organizational skills, and collaboration. I most recently worked in the Harvey Grill's Lab at the University of Pennsylvania prior to my current position, studying the mechanisms of anorectic effects seen in bacterial infections. In college, I was also a volunteer tutor for high school students seeking to enter the STEM field. Currently, I work in Junyue Cao's Lab of Single-Cell Genomics and Population Dynamics at The Rockefeller University, where I independently lead projects with emphasis on technique development of new genomic tools to apply them to disease models to slow or reverse aging-related senescence. Overall, I have extensive expertise in single-cell genomics, collaborative communication, and effective problem solving.
