I currently work at Wilson Health Medical Group as a Certified Medical Assistant. My daily tasks include rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, drawing blood, administering parenteral injections, informing patients of test results, and performing EKGs and a variety of CLIA waived tests. I am a Certified Medical Assistant graduate at Sinclair Community College as of May 2021. I am certified by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA). I also have certifications in BLS and First Aid. During my time at Sinclair, I have acquired both clinical and administrative experience from over 420 combined practicum hours in a dermatology and family practice. I worked as a student Medical Assistant at Upper Valley Family Medicine in Troy. Some of my every day skills included obtaining vital signs, administering enteral and parenteral medications, performing ear irrigations and a variety of CLIA waived tests. I have also worked as a student Medical Assistant at Wright State Physicians Dermatology office in Fairborn. My daily tasks included assisting with shave biopsies and phototherapy treatments, removing sutures, and sterilizing instruments. I also worked as a Certified Nurse Aid at Versailles Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Versailles. This job allowed me to gain experience in charting and assisting residents with activities of daily living. Activities of daily living included bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding.
