About Chloe Sileno

Hello! Currently, I am a fourth-year Financial Mathematics and Statistics student at UC Santa Barbara pursuing a career in finance. I am an active member in the Finance Connection club, Investment Advisory Committee, and Delta Gamma Sorority at UCSB. I was admitted into the Investment Advisory Committee in fall of 2022 after an interview process that challenged both my behavioral and technical knowledge. This club consists of about 40 highly motivated students applying what we are learning right now in the classroom to real world economic conditions. Independent of faculty, we manage a portfolio of in securities. I am apart of the fixed income sector where we pitch ETFs, mutual funds, etc. with underlying credit investments. My goal with this club is to learn by doing and gain as much exposure to market conditions as possible. In addition to my involvements outside of curriculum, I enjoy pursuing my B.S. in Financial Mathematics and Statistics. I have a persistent interest in learning, a growth mindset, and the ability to put forth great effort. Some of my favorite classes so far have been Financial Accounting, Stochastic Process, Vector Calculus, and Applied Macroeconomics. I find satisfaction in my studies due to their necessity of both logic and method, requiring strategy and often leading me to finite solutions. I pride myself upon upholding integrity and being an overall positive person. I believe that no goal is out of reach, but only if you mobilize towards it. In my free time you will find me practicing yoga, surfing, reading, running, golfing.
