About Chloe Simson
Since 2018, I have dedicated my work to serving the the queer community as a trans and neurodivergent leader. Brought up in Southern California (Tongva and Chumash lands), I received a BA in Liberal Arts with a concentration in Social and Behavioral Sciences at Soka University of America. Before I recently relocated to Santa Cruz, I was a queer community organizer and activist in San Francisco and the previous Director of the Queer & Trans Resource Center at San Francisco State University, where I also pursued my MA in Sexuality Studies. My academic research has focused on trans and non-binary identity, drag, disability justice, and queer archival history, always with a focus on intersectional experience. Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, environmental restoration, cooking and eating vegan food, and making ceramics.
