About Chloe Thompson

With over 7 years of experience in the film and TV industry, I am a passionate and dedicated representative and advocate for performers at UBCP/ACTRA, the union of professional performers in British Columbia. My core competencies include communication, administrative assistance, and employment contract interpretation. I strive to ensure that performers are treated fairly and respectfully, and that their rights and interests are protected and promoted. I enjoy working with a diverse and talented team of colleagues and members, and learning from their perspectives and experiences. As a representative, film and TV at UBCP/ACTRA, I assist performers and employers with contract interpretation of multiple collective agreements. I advise and counsel performers on questions regarding aspects of their employment such as their contracts, payments, working conditions, terminations, bullying and harassment incidents, etc. I also advocate on behalf of performers while administering and enforcing the terms and conditions of the collective agreements with employers. I have been in multiple positions at UBCP/ACTRA, moving from temporary contracts to permanent full-time positions, including Receptionist, Office Support, Office Assistant, Assistant Representative, Representative, and On-Set (field) Representative. I have gained valuable skills and knowledge in the film and TV industry, and I am always eager to take on new challenges and opportunities.
