About Chloe Yip

Hi! I’m Chloe, a fourth-year Software Systems student at Simon Fraser University with a minor in Computer and Electronic Design under the School of Engineering Science (long way of saying electric circuits minor). I'm passionate about sustainable technology and aim to build a career as a technical developer or project manager, creating impactful solutions that support ocean and marine conservation (I love fish). Right now, I’m developing a prototype device that tracks daily water consumption, with the goal of turning it into an educational tool for elementary school students to inspire early awareness about water conservation. I'm also exploring 3D printing as part of my design process—bringing ideas to life through hands-on prototyping and creative problem-solving. I am a SWE Co-op student at Kardium and have 8 months of prior work experience as a Software Developer Intern at Improving.
