About Chris Akins

My name is Chris, and I currently work as a Door Hardware Detailer with experience in Architectural, Commercial, Storefront, and Glass Door Hardware for Division 08 construction. I entered into this industry when I decided to follow in the foot steps of my father by becoming a locksmith and then began forging my own path ahead. My time in the business has given me an in-depth understanding of estimating software, the estimating process, and the technical sales of locks, cylinders/keys/master key systems, doors, frames, and hardware components for hollow metal, wood, FRP/Aluminum, and Glass Doors as well as field experience working with all of the above. By observing and learning from more experienced team members, military veterans, leaders, business owners, Judges, and historical figures, I've adapted a very unique attitude and mindset that has made me a formidable asset both as an individual and as a team-player. I strongly believe its the confidence I've built through self reliance, discipline, listening, and lifestyle practice that has galvanized me into being someone that is a strong team member that enjoys contributing their talents and skills in every capacity, to the fullest potential.“I want to see you game, boys.I want to see you brave and manly, and I also want to see you gentle and tender.Be practical as well as generous in your ideals.Keep your eyes on the starsand keep your feet on the ground.Courage, hard work, self mastery, and intelligent effortare all essential to a successful life.Character, in the long run, is the decisive factor in the life of an individualand of nations alike.”- Theodore Roosevelt
