About Chris Barnard

After 8 years of work in the financial services sector, most recently with BMO and HSBC, I decided to look outside of the world I knew, for a world I felt more passionately about. A six month contract ensued, with Alberta Pension Services Corporation, which was then followed by a brief stint as territory manager in the waste management sector. Nearly a year of work in luxury automotive sales followed, where an unorthodox approach earned me consistent top quartile sales rankings in a deep, tenured team— with no prior industry experience. Was sales and account management my passion, that I spoke to, moments before? I have an affinity for sales; interacting with the public and building pipelines out of convention and ingenuity, as well as through less conventional means. Acquisition was always a strength of mine, as is retention, collaboration and resourcefulness. I have been a blog writer for years now, creating works for the likes of sports pages, as well as food and leisure blogs. Most recently, I have been contracting as a freelance writer for such companies as The Mark Consulting, Unified MMA, Crystal Glass, MSCP Electrical Services, Urban Smiles, The Veneer House, Agfinity, Sparkling Clean, Character’s Restaurant, and more. My writing can be seen all over LinkedIn, and beyond, and I have sourced contracts through personal drive and a competitive nature. My diverse experience and skill sets make me an ideal candidate for sales, account management, and marketing positions. I’m a high performer, who thrives in environments with less micromanagement and structure.
