About Chris Bates

With over a decade of experience in the Canadian aviation industry, I’m an aviation safety and emergency management professional dedicated to excellence in preparedness, operational resilience, and public safety. Currently, I serve as an Advisor – Emergency Response and Business Recovery, supporting organizational readiness and effective emergency response. Earlier in my career, I focused on cabin safety and training—developing and delivering operating procedures and training programs for inflight crews. My work ensured regulatory compliance and promoted a strong culture of safety and service across the organization. Outside of my professional role, I’m an operational member of Cochrane Search and Rescue, contributing to field operations and emergency response—bringing practical, hands-on experience to help people in critical situations.
