The biggest issue I see facing dealmakers and the C-suite going into a merger, acquisition, or divesture is surprise. These surprises create uncertainty and risk, and the biggest share of the surprise is on the IT side. What if you had someone who could help find these issues during your extended due diligence before close? I advise M&A dealmakers and business owners to assess the tech of the systems and processes for the target company, and create plans that reduce risk, optimize synergies, and achieve success. For over 20 years, I’ve helped companies such as Oracle, PG & E, and others to identify and resolve complex tech modernization and integration challenges. Our proven process has helped them to reach their acquisition goals and targets. We help with the due diligence phase to assess the true costs, risks, and time required to minimize the IT risks and integrate the acquisition. If the decision is a go, we work with the IT leadership to create the transition plan, and help your team to facilitate the integration. The initial evaluation has proven especially valuable for private equity firms that don't necessarily have the tech expertise to evaluate or manage the tech when acquiring a divested unit, venture capital firms when advising their portfolio companies through their first acquisition, or those going through their first acquisition who are not familiar with the different tech involved with their own solutions.
