Transformed the position into an automated Reporting and Analytics position. Learned and incorporated VBA and custom developed an Access database to perform the essential accounting duties. Designed and distributed regular Flash Reports and Dynamic YOY Comparison reports key members from Corporate, the Executive Committee and other department heads. Identified areas of improvement and presented Cause/Effect analysis. • Changed Sunday post time to capitalize on revenue increase on later races (10-20% increase to Sunday revenue) • Tried to prevent running later post times on other race days (Would have prevented 10–20% decrease in revenue) • Successfully initiated a Marketing deal with a national company to promote the races (Expected increase of $50k -$100k a year) Developed a Marketing Access database to assist in reporting and analysis of rewards program. Saved $10k a month as corporate was willing to hire a 3rd party company to prepare reports. Scripted a VBA macro to assist in daily balancing of the Vault and determining the day’s Deposit based on the sales activity. Taught a company wide Excel course and was a Go-To resource to assist others in becoming more efficient. Honored as a 4 time All Star team member.
