About Chris Behrend

JACK OF ALL TRADES AND CHRISTOPHER BEHREND PHOTOGRAPHY: JOATCS opened in 1997 as a specialized computer tutoring service to help small business owners better utilize software and address general troubleshooting. Soon JOATCS filled a niche for homeowners and small to mid-size businesses. I expanded my services to act as a client’s IT department, offering help desk services. My goal was to help a business avoid downtime from common computer issues. JOATCS offers expert consulting on PC and Macs, allowing flexibility to address problems on both. I have become highly proficient at and have a passion for designing and building custom PCs. I have built PCs for a graphic designer, photographer, gamer, theater lighting designer, college admissions counselor, psychologist, a theater playwright and screen writer. I have acquired many skills leading to services on and off-site: Mac OS, Microsoft Windows, Small Business Solutions, Platform and Systems Integration, On-Site Cloud Solutions, Installation, Custom PC Builds, System Maintenance, One-on-One Instruction, IT Consulting, Tech Support Platform and Device Integration. I pride myself in having advanced consulting and troubleshooting skills. I enjoy the variety and challenge working with business owners, knowing my work helps businesses go forward. My aspirations include growing with the ever changing technology world and to provide a personal touch to small business owners. CHRISTOPHER BEHREND PHOTOGRAPHY began when photography went digital and was aligned with my computer skills. Living in Buffalo NY gives me photographic content, artistic inspiration, a love of architecture and industrial decay. My approach to photography is to “constantly search for the extraordinary in the ordinary.” I’m inspired to capture iconic landmarks, the season’s impact on Niagara Falls and Lake Erie, ruins of the city’s industrial past, the restoration and resurgence of Buffalo’s future. I have presented in solo exhibitions (Fontana Boat House 2012) and art festivals (Allentown 2014-2017, Elmwood 2014-2019, Clothesline, 2019). I have shown in WNY galleries (CEPA, 2013, 2017, FILLIGREES, 2013-14, PARABLES, 2019 and ART 247), received awards both locally (Elmwood Art Festival, the Kenan Center), nationally (Defenders of the Wildlife 2013, 2019) and internationally (Monovisions, 2016, 2017). I travel the world, capturing exciting, unique and powerful images; Iceland (2017, 2018), Faroe Islands (2017), South America (2013) Aruba, Ecuador, Peru, Mexico and Italy.
