About Chris Bingham

I am a Vice President at Travelport, leading the company's Corporate FP & A and Treasury functions. My primary responsibilities include all aspects of the company's budgeting process, corporate-level management reporting and P&L and cash flow forecasting, as well as cash management and other Treasury activities. The role also includes presentation of results, forecasts and budgets to the company's Board of Directors, delivery of monthly lender calls, and representing the company with various other external stakeholders. In this position, I have played a key role in helping the company navigate through the unprecedented impact of COVID on the travel industry, for example through frequent scenario planning, monitoring of restructuring and other cost saving activities and short-term cash planning. Travelport is a global technology company that operates in the travel sector, primarily through its Global Distribution System (GDS), connecting travel providers with traditional agents and OTAs. Previously listed on the NYSE, Travelport was acquired through a leveraged buy-out in 2019, and now operates under private equity ownership. I joined Travelport in 2016, initially as a manager in its Business Integration team. In this role I was responsible for the evaluation and subsequent integration of all finance activities relating to new business acquisitions. Prior to this, I was an Associate Director in KPMG's London-based valuations practice. This client-facing role involved preparing valuations of businesses, infrastructure assets and intangible assets, typically required for transactions, financial reporting or taxation purposes. Whilst primarily focussed on the infrastructure sector, I gained valuations experience across a broad range of industries, including financial services, real estate, construction, retail and technology. Having joined KPMG as a graduate, I initially trained as an auditor, primarily focussed on clients in the media, technology and travel sectors. I simultaneously undertook my accountancy qualification, becoming a certified chartered accountant in February 2011. Secured with all first-time passes, I also received ACCA's Silver Medal Award, given to the student that scores the second highest cumulative marks on the five ACCA professional level papers globally. In 2013, I undertook a two-year secondment to KPMG Australia, working in the Australian firm's valuations practice.
