About Chris Boryer

I am an authentic, people-focused leader, loving working in the clan-culture environment of Argon & Co. Having left the British Army last year, I am relishing transferring my skills to help clients plan and govern big change programmes, and resolve challenging issues. Internally, my focus is helping develop our transformation offerings, to broaden and deepen the value we bring to our clients. With 25 years’ rewarding experience as a member and leader of diverse, multi-cultural teams, I have developed an inclusive, collaborative style of leadership grounded in communication, trust and personal example. I have a proven track record of success in strategic and operational planning and delivery of solutions and outcomes involving multiple stakeholders, finite resources, and firm deadlines. Including: operations, education & training, facilities-management, financial resource planning and crisis-response. A strong communicator, I am skilled in stakeholder management and influence, forming and maintaining productive relationships, workforce management, and risk-informed decision-making. These skills were harnessed recently in my executive leadership of a 350-person mixed military-civilian organisation, responsible for enabling and under-pinning the business outcomes of the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst - a 2500-person, world-leading military leadership training & development academy. I am passionate about forming strong, diverse teams which encourage and empower collective and individual excellence and support talent maximisation and development. My recent leadership of a collectively inexperienced, composite 35-person multi-national team in the operational oversight of counter-terrorism activities in the Middle East exemplifies this.
