About Chris Bowden

I am a Commercial and Property Law Partner with approximately two decades of experience working closely with clients on legal issues relating to significant asset portfolios, business growth, and structuring. I have been fortunate to work with many high-profile business owners and individuals throughout Australia and enjoy assisting my clients with complex commercial law matters, including mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, company restructures, shareholder agreements, financing, and trusts. I also regularly assist with the purchase, transfer, and sale of shares. In addition to commercial law, I practise in all aspects of residential and commercial property transactions – from acquisition, disposal or development, through to leasing and sale. I feel fortunate to have advised clients on several high value residential and commercial property transactions. Seeing the positive impact some of my client’s projects have on the community is incredibly rewarding. I use my technical knowledge, together with my broader commercial experience working with likeminded individuals to identify options and solutions to complex issues. I am naturally quite curious and often find myself investigating different aspects of a client’s business or goals to identify new pathways for success. For some of my clients, this has produced tangible financial benefits, which I find extremely satisfying. Building genuine, long-term relationships is important to me and I invest time and care into how I manage my clients. I spend a lot of my personal time with the people I advise and feel grateful to have clients who I also consider to be friends. Outside of work, I really enjoy being active and keeping my mind and body busy. I surf, run and swim almost every day, and play guitar. You’ll likely also see me at one of the many coffee shops of a morning, which is where I do most of my networking.
