About Chris Brooks

I am an educator at heart. I have enjoyed teaching in Emergency Medical Service, Rescue, Fire Codes, and Anatomy & Physiology. I am a forward thinker that excels at finding new ways to ensure the success of my students. My teaching philosophy focuses on kinesthetic learning, and I wholeheartedly believe that students learn more and retain it longer when they put actions to words. While I am an experienced lecturer, I do try to incorporate a kinesthetic component even to the reading and lecturing activities. I have a knack for making even the most complex topics more understandable for any type of learner. I can teach to the top of the class while breaking things down for those that need a little more help. I then build the slower student's understanding up to the level of those at the top of the class. Teaching to me is more than a job, it is my gift, and my mission. I also enjoy writing and editing medical and anatomy books. I have written several anatomy laboratory lab manuals and student study guide. I have also reviewed and edited medical and anatomy textbooks for the Pearson Publishing Company.
