Assist customers by demonstrating how to operate a vehicle, provide test drives and identify costs associated with the purchase Essential Functions • Assist customers who enter the dealership, answer their questions and help them select a vehicle that is right for their needs. • Sell a minimum number of vehicles based on the goals and objectives defined by the Sales Manager. • Explain product performance, application and benefits to prospects and describing all optional equipment available for customer purchase. • Offer test drives to all prospects and follow dealership procedure to obtain proper identification prior to test drive. • Stay informed of new products, features and accessories available, and translating the benefits to the customer. • Attend product and sales training courses. • Refer closed deals to the F&I Manager along with properly completed paperwork. • Prepare sold vehicles for customer delivery prior to customer arrival, ensuring the customer understands the vehicle’s operating features, warranty and paperwork. • Introduce customers to the Service Department to emphasize the quality and efficiency of service repairs and maintenance available. • Follow up on post delivery items including tag/title work, and any special requests to ensure all customer expectations are met. • Maintain a buyer follow-up system that encourages repeat and referral business and contributes to customer satisfaction.
