About Chris Checkley

I joined Russell New in 1998, becoming a partner in 2003. A Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants with over 20 years’ experience in accounting and auditing across a wide range of sectors, I hold the Association’s practicing certificate and audit qualification. In July 2018 Russell New merged with Taylorcocks. We act predominantly for small and medium sized owner managed business, private clients, trusts and charities. I am the responsible individual for all our commercial audit and accounts assignments within the Sussex office. During my career, I have undertaken a wide range of demanding assignments over the years including assisting clients with stock market listings (AIM, PLUS & Frankfurt), corporate restructuring and acquisitions. I have a practical approach to each individual project and bring a high degree of commerciality to the table during such transactions. In common with all the partners at Taylorcocks, I am keen on efficient business and financial management, keeping tax bills and the cost of financial compliance to an absolute minimum.
