About Chris Chipman

My early experience in engineering involved all aspects of IT operations, from managing and deploying laptops, workstations and mobile devices to building and managing infrastructure like Google G-Suite, MS Exchange mail, VOIP, enterprise storage and software development resources, both physical and virtual. I'm well rounded in my understanding of network protocols such as DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP as well as software and best practices for managing medium to large corporate device pools and inventory lifecycle management. As a manager of teams ranging from 10 to 20 people, I discovered my talent and ability to engage with other engineers, especially technical people that others sometimes found challenging. My combination of technical knowledge and an empathic personality have proved to be a wonderful asset to me. I truly enjoy motivating and inspiring others to develop the talents they bring to the table as well as helping them to discover new ones. I believe that my ability to listen and respond in a compassionate and empathetic manner has been core to my success in the variety of roles I have worked in. My approach to management has created loyal and trustworthy relationships in the workplace and my abilities for both recognizing and hiring exceptional people are exemplary. In many cases, people on my teams have moved into higher paying roles and careers. I believe that nothing can beat an employee who is both happy in the workplace and who is challenged to be the best version of themselves.
