About Chris Cochran

I have enjoyed working as a school counselor at elementary and secondary levels for over 14 years, and have had the privilege of providing academic, career, mental health and crisis counseling for students and families.In my private practice as a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) at Drayton Family Counseling, I have had the opportunity to work with children, adolescents, adults and families in areas related to grief, depression, sensory issues, Autism, mood disorders, attachment, adoption and complex developmental trauma. I am trained as a Lifespan Integration practitioner and Trust-based Relational Intervention (TBRI) practitioner.I also have had the opportunity to work as an Adjunct Instructor for Trinity Western University and George Fox University in the areas of educating diverse learners, community development, and issues related to crime and poverty, and have been a guest lecturer for Western Washington University, Lewis and Clark College, and Trinity Western University. I have also provided professional development trainings on trauma, brain development, attachment in schools, and effective therapeutic interventions for teachers and staff at Bellingham School District in WA state and Hillsboro School District in Hillsboro, OR.
