About Chris Cooper

I’ve spent the past few years working with some of the UK’s most forward-thinking energy companies — including Bristol Energy, Bulb, and Octopus Energy. My focus has been on helping customers navigate their energy use, resolve issues, and feel more confident about what’s often seen as a confusing space. Breaking down complex problems and making them easier to understand is something I genuinely enjoy. I’ve also built up solid experience in sales through roles at Scottish Power, ESB, and Octopus. These positions gave me a deeper understanding of how the gas and electricity markets work — and how to communicate that knowledge clearly and effectively, whether it’s with customers or colleagues. Before that, I studied software development to HNC level at Glasgow Clyde College. While I didn’t pursue it professionally, I still use those skills to create small tools, automate tasks, and approach problems from a technical angle when it makes sense to do so. I’m interested in practical, thoughtful ways to improve the energy sector — and enjoy working with others who are curious, switched-on, and focused on doing things better.
