About Chris Cowles

Chris Cowles is a seasoned manager/producer and partner at Alldayeveryday, focused on scripted entertainment. He has a top tier client list of in demand writers in both film and television working at the highest levels who also develop in house projects for Alldayeveryday to produce.Prior to Alldayeveryday, Cowles was the Chief Creative Officer at DMG, a global media production company, where in addition to his management/production duties, he oversaw the acquisition and management of a wide range of IP. While at DMG Cowles saw the acquisition of the comic book imprint Valiant, the science fiction/fantasy catalog of acclaimed author Brandon Sanderson, and the video game BattleTech. Additionally, he oversaw creative for both Arcturus Studios, an AR/VR company acquired by DMG and Transformers themed entertainment centers, a partnership between DMG and Hasbro. Cowles still consults with DMG.Cowles ran former Paramount Chairman John Goldwyn’s Paramount based Goldwyn/Michaels (Lorne) production company where he most notably spearheaded the development of Showtime’s DEXTER. Before Goldwyn, Cowles served as an executive at Scott Rudin Productions where he worked on THERE WILL BE BLOOD, THE HOURS, NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN and LIFE AQUATIC amongst many others. His first four years as an executive were spent at Judd Apatow Productions where he worked most notably on the critically acclaimed television series FREAKS AND GEEKS. Most recently, Cowles’ Executive Produced the critically acclaimed Lionsgate series SWIMMING WITH SHARKS starring Kiernen Shipka, Diane Kruger and Donald Sutherland for The Roku Channel. Other credits include CHAPPAQUIDDICK starring Jason Clarke and Kate Mara, and the hit Universal comedy BLOCKERS directed by Kay Cannon.In addition to Alldayeveryday, Cowles has the launched the imprint DEBUT in Canada which allows him to produce in Canada utilizing government subsidies and credits thus lowering production costs. He has multiple projects in development within that system.
