I love what I do, it’s that simple. Seeking out the latest techniques and innovative ways to develop software, ideas that will move my employer forward, it's exciting! As a Systems Architect I bring to the forefront ideas that will update the framework and processes currently in place, not just modernize but to optimize as well. What works best for the company is my focus, what fits the business model and what I can bring to the success of its future are questions I ask myself every day. I have my private pilot’s license but flying the “real thing” has become a bit cost prohibitive over the years. To satisfy the desire to fly I transitioned to learning and successfully flying RC helicopters and drones. Having ran and operated my own video production company in the past as a money-making hobby, I became interested in the video segment of RC flying and earned my FAA Part 107 pilot certificate which allows me to fly sUAS commercially. Cinematic video technique is a skill I am currently developing; it fits well with my desire to fly RC helicopters in a scale manner. What I do both professionally and privately is exciting because I love to learn. My current professional focus is on cloud-based system architecture and mobile device software. What cloud features work best, what do they bring to the table, how will developers work with them? Through the research process I learn, I develop, I can recommend with confidence what is the best solution for our operation. Over the past few years I have designed and built cloud native applications based on AWS Lambda and API Gateway. I have in depth knowledge of Office 365 and SharePoint. I have designed and built many REST APIs for various business processes and application authentication with Azure AD. To put it very simply, the cloud is the future!
