About Chris Decker

Over the years I've had an excellent opportunity to gain meaningful knowledge, and skills required in upper management & leadership roles. Additionally, I have a wide variety of skills, ranging from Project Management, Operations Director, Computer Network Engineer, building pc's, retail sales & additional technological skills, such as computer programming and technical writing. I'm efficient with interpersonal communication, written, Power Point, and oral presentations. I've obtained a wide variety of skills ranging from the basics to key programming fundamentals in the following: C++, C#, JavaScript, PHP, Python, HTML5, CSS3, XML, and frameworks. I’ve also implemented multiple LAMP stacks using SQL, PHP, Linux, and MySQL for database administration. Furthermore, I’ve learned the fundamental basics on JQuery, AngularJs, Angular 2, Angular CLI, Node, SVN, ASP.Net.Net Core, MVC, VS Code, Xamarin, and Java. Moreover, I have written programs that included simple applications, object oriented programs / GUI's, and applets that are embedded into a webpage. In addition, I've gained front & back end web development/design experience (design aspect using photoshop), which allows me to create single page websites to multi-page responsive sites. I graduated with my Bachelors of Science in Information Technology, and gained multiple certifications above my college degree. Also, I was one of 5 team members to develop a Sustainability Mobile Application using Agile methodologies on an Android platform. For my senior capstone project, I was the team/project leader, where we created an iQ Smart Parking lot. This project utilized image processing, Arduino hardware components, RFID, and a web application to display available parking spots in real time. My goals include maintaining a diverse skill set across the Information Technology field while continuing to learn & grow.
