About Chris Deruyscher

Chris DeRuyscher is the now the Vice President of Ballpark Entertainment (Productions and Promotions) for the Texas Rangers. His production group is responsible for Rangers Game Day Entertainment as well as the production for REV Entertainment events that happen at Globe Life Field and Choctaw Stadium. He and his team were responsible for successfully opening the production aspects of Globe Life Field in 2020 with an HDR and completely IP based control room. This also included a best in class sound system that has delivered amazing performances for fans from Elton John to Post Malone to Chris Stapleton, and Morgan Wallen. Other successful productions at Globe Life Field have included the National Finals Rodeo, 2 World Series, the 2024 MLB All-Star Game, and AEW's All In Texas. He also oversees the Promotions team for the Rangers which includes promotional giveaway items, the Jr. Rangers program, the Texas Rangers Six Shooters Dance Team, and the team mascot Rangers Captain. Before joining the Rangers, Chris spent 13 seasons with the Kansas City Royals, where he led a HD upgrade in 2008 and successfully produced the 2012 MLB All Star Game. His responsibilities include game day producing, overseeing production elements, and staffing for one of Major League Baseball's largest high definition video boards. Other industry contributions include his involvement in the Information Display Entertainment Organization (IDEA) from to the present. Chris has served in multiple positions within the organization including MLB Baseball Rep, Golden Matrix Award Chairman, 1st Vice President from 2010 to 2014, and President from 2014-2018. He was the Host City Chairman for the first ever IDEA Conference held in Kansas City in 2011. At the conference CrownVison was awarded Golden Matrix Awards for Best Production In Major League Baseball, Best Production In Professional Sports, and Best Show Open. He also received the President's Award. At the 2012 conference CrownVision was awarded it's second straight Best Show Open. In 2023, he was inducted into the IDEA Hall of Fame.Before joining the Royals, he worked at HuskerVision for 4 years at the University of Nebraska, where he received a bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism from the College of Journalism and Mass Communications. His sports background also includes summer internships with FOX 4 Sports, Kansas City, in 1998 and with the Tampa Bay Devil Rays in
