About Chris Donnelly

In 2001 I moved to Japan, in what was meant to be a short term experience as an English teacher. However this quickly developed into a more permanent arrangement. 15 years later, it is time to move on. Living in Japan has taught or improved many aspect of my personality, I have become more patient, open and honest. I have also become more empathetic, and always try to see the others point of view. I have always been a sensitive person, and I believe in Japan this has been amplified. While living in Japan, I have stayed in touch with my passion, technology. I have kept up to date with trends and consider myself an extreme early adopter. I am very proficient with computers and can easily learn new systems. I believe that technology, science and engineering are the keys to solving many of today's problems, and would love to work for a company that has a similar philosophy. As an English teacher and trainer, I have spent many hours dealing with people from all walks of life. My duties have included sales to perspective students, through demonstration lessons, but more importantly keeping students happy that they continue to stay at the schools. I have sometimes found myself philosophically objecting to the way the schools manipulate the students, and I have become a firm believe it is best to be open and honest with people. More recently I have moved into sales for Niseko Resort Holdings. My job here is primarily dealing with prospective guests enquiring about staying at one of the properties we manage. Selling holidays and dreams, and making sure the guests are satisfied with the stay. Last winter I managed one of the lodges, and looked after about 150 guests over the winter. To my knowledge all were happy with my service and assistance. Currently I am on a 3 month fitness course and will be returning to Australia in October 2016.
