About Chris Egan

At Fannie Mae, I lead two diverse teams of highly technical financial engineers who support FP & A activities of our $455B commercial real estate portfolio (Multifamily properties). We focus on data driven analysis to help manage portfolio performance by building models, self-service dashboards, and other technical solutions to improve insights and help the business make informed decisions on risk and return. Our team's expertise helps the company navigate the impacts and complexities between regulatory capital, raw economics, and gaap accounting and we support key FPA activities including capital management, financial reporting, stress testing (DFAST) and forecasting, and credit risk transfer activities. I have a strong technical background, with experience in system/software implementation and financial transformation projects, most recently leading our migration efforts to the AWS Cloud. I am a seasoned leader, highly effective in developing teams, managing complex projects, and driving change. I am highly proficient in SQL, VBA, SAS, Tableau, and AWS, and growing experience with R and python.
