About Chris Ellis

Since joining MASS LBP nearly a decade and a half ago, Chris has worked to develop the MASS brand and introduce the Civic Lottery and Citizens' Assembly engagement model to new public organizations and across different sectors. Christopher has used his expertise to support MASS LBP's mission, notably designing and implementing 50+ Civic Lottery processes. He has worked to develop the MASS Civic Lottery process and served as lead author of the Civic Lottery guide currently used by public organizations internationally to inform their own lottery processes. Before MASS, Chris played a vital role during the early years at The Walrus magazine as Director of Marketing and Circulation. He was responsible for strategic communications, marketing, subscriber/member development and retention. In addition, Chris has used his broad range of management, systems, and strategic experience to advise clients, design and implement marquee projects. He has a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in History and General Economics from Wilfrid Laurier University and a Master's in Publishing from Simon Fraser University. Chris has just moved to Edmonton from downtown Toronto and is always looking to develop new opportunities that have a social impact or better connect people with their public institutions.
