Background

About Chris Eteen

After successfully completing my construction apprenticeship, following my First Class Honours degree, I took the opportunity to commit to estimating as my chosen career path. I now have over 20 successful years experience in pre-construction.Currently working as a core member of VINCI Building’s pre-construction team on projects across the Yorkshire and North East region, to prepare best value, compliant tender prices. I take personal pride in all aspects of my work and being able to achieve final price agreements with clients within stringent budgets, challenging timescales, featuring complex tender packages and extensive stakeholder engagement. Those schemes include logistically complex city/town centre projects, large blue-chip organisation facilities and several NHS estates improvement programmes involving new-build, upgrades, and redevelopments across live campuses.I manage the estimating process in a fair, objective way and will strive to achieve best value for our client through procurement, by applying a balanced view of cost and quality. I aim to bring a competitive edge with cost-saving ideas and value engineering solutions to benefit the overall project.
