About Chris Evans

With over four years of experience at TAE Technologies, the world's largest private fusion energy company, Chris is a Deputy Director Safety who leads and supports the environmental health and safety (EHS) initiatives for the organization. He holds a Graduate Safety Practitioner (GSP) credential and two CPR/AED certifications from the American Red Cross and the American Heart Association. He has also completed a Master of Engineering degree in Advanced Safety and Engineering Management from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Chris is passionate about enhancing the safety culture and learning environment at TAE Technologies, where he applies his expertise in safety management systems, learning management systems, accident investigations, risk analysis, and systems safety engineering. He is adept at identifying and addressing the influences and factors that contribute to undesirable events, as well as facilitating sensemaking, understanding, and organizational learning among the workgroups. Chris is a champion of psychological confidence, worker empowerment, and continuous improvement in the fusion energy R&D field.
