About Chris Fescoe

Chris Fescoe, Senior Manager in Alexa Smart Home, leads the setup experience for smart home devices and accessories. His team focuses on simplifying the connection and configuration process while delivering personalized experiences for customers interested in building an automated home using Alexa. Chris plays a key role in Amazon's participation in Matter, the industry-driven smart home interoperability standard, working to expand device compatibility and enhance customer satisfaction through simplified setup experiences. Prior to his current role, Chris worked in the Halo Health organization where he built Firmware teams, provided technical leadership, and delivered innovative personal wearable devices and services. He led the development of some of Amazon's first low-power wearable devices, including Echo Loop (launched October 2019), Halo Band (launched December 2020), and Halo View (launched December 2021). This required building engineering teams while simultaneously creating the tools, processes, and best practices for product delivery. Chris joined Amazon in October 2011, and over the years as both a Technical Program Manager and Software Development Manager, helped contribute to the successful development and delivery of numerous devices and services including Fire tablets, Fire TV, Fire Phone, Echo, and "Just Walk Out" shopping with Amazon Go. Prior to Amazon, he held several roles at Newport News Shipbuilding and Northrop Grumman Corporation.
