About Chris Gallon

I have a real passion for making a difference through positive social action. During my time working at Sage Foundation and Movement to Work I’ve developed relationships with customers, colleagues, the third sector, local government as well as UK business to help deliver real impactful change. During my 12 years working at Sage I’ve developed my skills both personally and professionally through 4 different roles, working initially as being customer facing in technical support which gave me a real insight into what’s important to our customers and how we help to deliver this. Then later moving into a management role giving me experience of people management and driving performance of teams up to 20 colleagues across the Sage product range as well as the opportunity to successfully manage teams in the UK and Ireland, spending 6 months in our Dublin office. In 2016 I moved to a new Global role in Sage Foundation becoming the coordinator for Northern Europe, supporting Sage colleagues to give time to non-profit partners through volunteering and helping those that need it most through fundraising. In 2020 I then moved on a years secondment from Sage to Movement to Work as their Regional Lead in the North East helping to combat youth unemployment and social mobility issues across the region. Working with some of the UK’s leading organisations in the North East, connecting employers, civil society and government to help tackle some of the systemic barriers to youth employment in the region and successfully supporting the delivery of over work placements for young people. Then in April 2021 I moved to a new role within Sage as a Global Program Manager for Sage Foundation responsible for the delivery of global activity on our Sustainability and Society (ESG) initiatives, programs and partnerships.
