About Chris Gander

I'm a marketing professional with over 19 years of experience—six years in agency land and 13 years client-side. I work with forward-thinking business owners and companies to harness the power of digital marketing, helping them achieve their goals, engage customers, and grow. Experience: I have a background in business development, sales, and account management, with a proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships. I've lectured on digital media at university level, managed advertising for magazines and websites, have three years experience in mobile marketing (both D2C and B2B), five years in general digital marketing, and going on eight years in content / social media. Career Highlights: As the BDM for 3RDsense, I specialised in play-based digital solutions for brands across web, social, mobile, and desktop platforms. Some of the brands that I developed relationships with, and developed games for, included Jetstar, Penguin Books, Jim Beam, RSPCA, Huggies, Nickelodeon, Nine, Bupa, Virgin, Fox Sports, and KIA. In a little over two years, I had generated close to $400k in revenue from branded games for the agency. In 2012, I became the Digital Marketing Manager at Turnbull Hill Lawyers. For over five years, I handled all aspects of digital marketing, including SEO, SEM, and CRM. I also managed a six-month website development project, and the site is still live today. I pioneered many legal-based online marketing initiatives to generate revenue including an 'Online Divorce' assistance service and 'Unfair Dismissal' screening service. I also developed and managed SEM, enabling the smaller firm to compete directly with the Sydney-based juggernauts of law. In 2014, after earning my Masters in Marketing, I launched my own digital marketing consultancy, Digital Goose - which I ran for close to 10 years. It generated an extra $10-15k income every year. I have since closed it to focus on my senior role at WesTrac and spend more time with my daughter. In 2017, I joined WesTrac as a Digital Content Specialist. I handle everything from strategy to creative, social media to SEO/SEM. In 2023, I was promoted to Senior Digital Content Specialist, focusing on strategy, larger projects, and influencer marketing. Fun Fact: When I'm not consumed by content and marketing, I'll be on adventures with my daughter, lifting weights in a CrossFit box, hiking through the wilderness, listening to books on Audible, making playlists on Spotify, binging TV shows on Netflix, and creating content on TikTok.
