I build things with words, sound, and structure. Most of my professional life has been in higher education — advising students, designing curriculum, building courses, and helping ideas take clearer shape. Over time, that work expanded into video, audio, and digital learning. I’ve spent the last decade writing, editing, producing, composing, engraving music, and experimenting with how emerging tools (including generative AI) can make learning more thoughtful rather than more automated. I’m comfortable in both creative and structured environments. I’ve conducted ensembles. Taught music. Worked in admissions and student affairs. Built online courses in Articulate. Edited in Final Cut and Camtasia. Composed in Logic and Dorico. And spent more hours than I can count refining scripts and polishing language until it says what it actually means. Lately, I’ve become interested in something adjacent to all of that: How the things we build outside of work—hobbies, crafts, experiments—shape who we become over time. Music engraving. Songwriting. Copywriting. Piano tuning. Not as side hustles. Just as ways of staying intellectually and creatively alive. I care about clarity. I care about craft.
