Accomplished Supplier Development Engineer with over 16 years of experience in performing supplier audits, onsite evaluations, conducting root cause analysis, and establishing quality objectives. I lead initiatives to improve supplier operations with the goal of minimizing lead times, inventory, PPM and total costs. Review component design with suppliers to verify cost, feasibility, capability, gauging, and overall conformance to specified tolerances. Develop plans to improve supplier processes and procedures to meet cost, specification and capability targets. I also provide support to suppliers in developing their manufacturing and Quality Management Systems (QMS). Proficient in Lean Six Sigma methodologies, APQP, PPAP, SPC, FMEA, RCCA, and possess extensive knowledge of ISO 9001 standards as an Internal ISO 9001 auditor. I have a strong mechanical aptitude and electrical skills, having earned FAA Airframe & Powerplant certification. Furthermore, I have served in the Air Force, working on military aircraft and am a military veteran.I hold a Green Belt certification and have expertise in plastic injection molding, roto molding, hydraulics, metallurgy, and composite materials. I provide global support across various teams to tackle technical challenges and reduce warranty issues. I lead and mentor in lean manufacturing, backed by a comprehensive background in metrology and reverse engineering applications.
