About Chris Huitson

Multi-skilled mechanical engineer dedicated to pursuing a technical career in improving sustainability. Highly motivated to leave a successful 8-year career in physics research by the immediacy of climate change and the need to contribute to its solution. Especially interested in clean energy generation, energy reduction and waste to energy. I have 8 years' experience in modelling atmospheric physics, statistical interpretation of instrumental data and software development. To supplement these skills, I completed an MSc in Advanced Mechanical Engineering at Cranfield University, with a focus and thesis project in renewable energy. Now a graduate mechanical design engineer at Mott MacDonald Bentley, I have experience in a range of mechanical engineering design for the wastewater industry. Combined with my unusual background, this gives me a unique combination of skills, demonstrating a broad ability in engineering design, problem solving, programming and physical and quantitative analysis.
